Greetings reader. My name is Kelvin Wiley.

If you couldn’t already tell, I’m incredibly passionate about insects and other arthropods. My passion for these hard-shelled creatures started when I was very young. Ever since I could remember, I always watched and observed insects on the ground while I was outside at the playground. It started as only watching and holding them, but my passion for these animals grew tremendously as I got older! In 2011, I began to keep them as pets. My very first invertebrate was a Green Bottle Blue Tarantula. And from there, my collection only continued to grow. Many people assume that I’m an entomologist. I’m, in fact, not an entomologist. However, I do consider myself an insect enthusiast and hobbyist. I’ve gained my knowledge through reading entomology books, as well as working at an insectarium. I’ve also connected with entomologists and have done in-depth research, which only skyrocketed my love for what I do through the roof!
